  • Makes: 1 serving (556 g)
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Diets: Flexitarian, Non-Vegetarian
  • Contains: beef, dairy, egg, gluten

Ingredients

  • 300 g Rice, white, cooked, glutinous
  • 100 g Beef sausage
  • 50 g Peppers, bell, green, raw
  • 50 g Onions, raw
  • 5 g Butter, NFS
  • 50 g Egg, whole, raw
  • 1 g Salt, table

Method

  1. - Cook the rice ahead of time and let it cool completely. Cold rice works best for fried rice. - Dice the Nyamabite or beef sausage, bell peppers, and onions.
  2. - Preheat a wok or large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the butter. If using oil, use 5g of vegetable or sesame oil. - Add the diced onions to the melted butter and sauté for 2-3 minutes, until they turn soft and translucent.
  3. Add the diced bell peppers and Nyamabite to the wok. Stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until the veggies are tender but still slightly crisp.
  4. - Push the veggies and Nyamabite to the side of the wok, making space in the center. Add the cold rice. - Crack the egg directly onto the rice and scramble it quickly, stirring to coat the rice evenly with the egg. Continue cooking for 2-3 minutes.
  5. - Toss all the ingredients together, making sure everything is evenly mixed. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through. - Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  6. Transfer the fried rice to a plate or bowl and serve immediately. Enjoy your meal!
