- Preparation: 75 min
- Cooking: 33 min
- Makes: 1 serving (253 g)
- Difficulty: Hard
- Contains: beef, dairy, gluten, pork
Ingredients
- 45 g Flour, bread (strong)
- 25 g Water
- 5 g Olive oil
- 0.5 g Yeast, active dry
- 0.5 g Salt
- 60 g Mozzarella, low-moisture
- 40 g Italian sausage, raw
- 70 g Tomatoes, canned, crushed
- 0.3 g Oregano, dried
- 2 g Garlic, raw
- 5 g Parmesan cheese
Method
- Mix the bread flour, yeast, salt, olive oil and water into a soft dough; knead until smooth, then let rise in a covered bowl until doubled, about 1 hour.
- Press the dough into a well-oiled deep pan, pushing it up the sides to form a bowl shape.
- Scatter the mozzarella over the base first, right to the edges.
- Brown the sausage in a skillet, breaking it into pieces, about 5 minutes, then scatter it over the cheese.
- Spoon the crushed tomatoes over the top and sprinkle with the oregano, garlic and parmesan.
- Bake at 220°C (425°F) for 25-30 minutes until the crust is deep golden and the sauce bubbles.
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Makes 1 slice; multiply the ingredients by 8 for a whole deep-dish pizza.
