- Preparation: 20 min
- Cooking: 25 min
- Makes: 1 serving (376 g)
- Difficulty: Medium
- Diets: Dairy-free
- Contains: beef, celery, egg, gluten, poultry
Ingredients
- 40 g Wonton wrappers
- 60 g Beef, ground, 85% lean, raw
- 15 g Onions, raw
- 8 g Eggs, whole, raw
- 250 g Chicken broth
- 0.5 g Salt
- 0.2 g Black pepper
- 2 g Dill, fresh
Method
- Mix the ground beef with the finely chopped onion, egg, salt and pepper until well combined.
- Lay out the wonton wrappers, a fair stand-in for hand-rolled kreplach dough, spoon a little of the meat filling into the center of each, and fold into a triangle or small square, pressing the edges firmly to seal.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the kreplach for 6-8 minutes, until the wrapper is tender and the filling is cooked through with no pink remaining; drain.
- Meanwhile, heat the chicken broth in a separate pot until simmering.
- Add the cooked kreplach to the hot broth, ladle into bowls, and finish with a sprinkle of fresh dill before serving.
