  • Preparation: 10 min
  • Makes: 1 serving (220 g)
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Diets: Vegan, Gluten-free, Dairy-free
  • Contains: sulphite

Ingredients

  • 30 g Molasses
  • 180 g Water
  • 5 g Pine nuts
  • 5 g Raisins, golden

Method

  1. Whisk the date syrup, for which molasses stands in well, into the cold water until fully dissolved.
  2. Chill well, or serve over plenty of ice.
  3. Pour into a glass and scatter the pine nuts and raisins on top just before serving, so they float and add crunch.
  4. For an extra-authentic touch, add a few drops of rosewater or orange blossom water to the syrup before diluting, already accounted for in the water above.
