  • Preparation: 20 min
  • Makes: 1 serving (22 g)
  • Difficulty: Medium
  • Diets: Vegetarian, Gluten-free, Low carb
  • Contains: dairy

Ingredients

  • 14 g Sugar, powdered
  • 3 g Coconut oil
  • 4 g Sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 g Water

Method

  1. Soften the coconut oil slightly, then work it into the powdered sugar with your fingers until crumbly.
  2. Add the condensed milk and the water — the water carries a few drops of musk essence, or rosewater if musk essence isn't available — and knead to a smooth, firm fondant, adding a touch more powdered sugar if it's sticky.
  3. Tint pale pink with a little food colouring if using, then roll into a thin log about 1 cm across.
  4. Cut into short sticks and leave uncovered for an hour or two to firm up before serving.
  5. Makes 1 stick from this amount; multiply everything by 20 and roll a longer log for a full batch.
