Neer Dosa (Mangalorean Rice Crepe)
One serving has 280 kcal and 4 g protein, and at least a fifth of a woman's daily need of manganese (43%), folate (30%), thiamin (27%) and copper (21%). Ready in 35 minutes.

- Preparation: 20 min
- Cooking: 15 min
- Makes: 1 serving (171 g)
- Difficulty: Medium
- Diets: Vegan, Gluten-free, Dairy-free
Ingredients
- 50 g Rice, white, long-grain
- 100 g Water
- 15 g Coconut, fresh
- 0.8 g Salt
- 5 g Vegetable oil
Method
- Soak the rice in water at least 4 hours, then drain and blend with the coconut and fresh water into a very thin, watery batter; stir in the salt.
- Heat a non-stick or well-seasoned pan over medium heat and brush lightly with the oil.
- Pour in a thin ladle of batter, swirling the pan quickly so it spreads into a lacy, delicate round; do not spread with a ladle as the batter is too runny.
- Cover and cook 1-2 minutes until the crepe is just set and turns translucent at the edges; there is no need to flip it.
- Fold in half or into quarters while warm and serve immediately.
