  • Preparation: 25 min
  • Cooking: 1 min
  • Makes: 1 serving (83.5 g)
  • Difficulty: Medium
  • Diets: Vegan, Dairy-free
  • Contains: gluten

Ingredients

  • 30 g Flour, all-purpose
  • 20 g Flour, whole wheat
  • 0.5 g Salt
  • 3 g Vegetable oil
  • 30 g Water

Method

  1. Mix the two flours with the salt, then work in the oil and enough water to form a soft, very pliable dough; knead well for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  2. Cover and rest the dough for 20 minutes, then roll a ball of it out as thin as possible, stretching gently by hand until it is almost see-through. This makes 1 roti; multiply everything by the number of rotis you want.
  3. Heat an inverted wok or a large domed griddle over medium-high heat, then drape the thin dough over it.
  4. Cook for 20-30 seconds, flipping once, until it puffs in spots and cooks through without browning much, then fold into quarters and serve warm with a curry.
