  • Makes: 1 serving (395 g)
  • Difficulty: Medium
  • Diets: High protein
  • Contains: beef, dairy, egg, gluten, mustard

Ingredients

  • 110 g Hamburger buns
  • 130 g Beef, ground, 85% lean, raw
  • 40 g Mozzarella, low-moisture
  • 20 g Lettuce, iceberg, raw
  • 40 g Tomatoes, raw
  • 20 g Corn kernels, canned
  • 20 g Peas, green, frozen
  • 15 g Mayonnaise

Method

  1. Shape the ground beef into a patty a little larger than the bun, and season lightly.
  2. Cook the patty in a hot skillet for 3-4 minutes per side until browned and cooked through (74°C/165°F), topping with the sliced mozzarella in the last minute so it melts.
  3. Split and lightly toast the bun on the skillet.
  4. Spread the mayonnaise generously over the base of the bun, then scatter over the corn and peas.
  5. Add the shredded lettuce and sliced tomato.
  6. Top with the cheesy patty, close the sandwich, and press it firmly with a spatula or heavy pan for 30-60 seconds so everything fuses together, in the classic pressed xis style, before serving.
