  • Contains: beef, gluten, soy

Ingredients

  • 150 g Beef sirloin steak, raw
  • 12 g Soy sauce
  • 12 g Lime juice
  • 60 g Onions, red, raw
  • 5 g Garlic, raw
  • 0.5 g Black pepper
  • 2 g Sugar
  • 10 g Vegetable oil

Method

  1. Slice the beef thinly and mix it with the soy sauce, lime juice, garlic and black pepper; marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Slice the red onion into rings and set aside separately for topping.
  3. Lift the beef from the marinade, keeping the liquid, and pat it lightly dry.
  4. Heat the oil in a pan over high heat and sear the beef slices for about a minute per side until browned outside and just cooked through; remove and set aside.
  5. Pour the reserved marinade into the same pan with the sugar, bring to a full boil for a minute to cook off the raw marinade, then return the beef briefly to coat it.
  6. In a separate dry pan, cook the onion rings for 2-3 minutes until just softened and lightly browned, then pile them over the beef to serve.
