  • Cooking: 10 min
  • Makes: 1 serving (285 g)
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Diets: Dairy-free, Low carb
  • Contains: beef, gluten, pork

Ingredients

  • 180 g Blood sausage
  • 50 g Onions, raw
  • 50 g Apples, raw
  • 5 g Vegetable oil

Method

  1. Prick the kaszanka (blood and groat sausage) a few times, or slice it about 1.5 cm thick.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the kaszanka over medium heat for 8-10 minutes, turning, until the skin is crisp and it's heated all the way through (it's a fully cooked sausage, so this is about reheating it piping hot, not cooking it from raw).
  3. Meanwhile, fry the sliced onion and apple in the same pan alongside or afterwards, until soft and golden.
  4. Serve the kaszanka topped with the fried onion and apple, with bread on the side.
