- Difficulty: Easy
- Diets: Vegan, Gluten-free, Dairy-free
Ingredients
- 150 g Potatoes, raw
- 40 g Cannellini beans, dried
- 12 g Sunflower oil
- 3 g Garlic, raw
- 0.5 g Cumin
- 1 g Salt
- 0.2 g Black pepper
Method
- Soak the dried beans in plenty of cold water overnight.
- Drain and boil the beans in fresh water for about 1-1.5 hours until very soft.
- Meanwhile, peel and boil the potatoes in a separate pot until tender.
- Drain both, keeping a little of the cooking liquid, and mash the potatoes and beans together to a soft, slightly rough mash, loosening with a splash of the reserved liquid.
- Fry the chopped garlic gently in the oil with the cumin until fragrant, then stir most of it through the mash; season with the salt and pepper.
- Spoon into a bowl and drizzle the remaining garlic oil on top; serve warm, traditionally alongside grilled sausage (klobasa).
